Ludwika i Aleksandra Birkenmajerów Polskiej Akademii Nauk}, language={pol}, abstract={From the times of the National Education Commission to the present day (1785-2021), about 450 textbooks for the youngest children (usually from the age of six to ten) have been published. With the help of the analysis of the content of the textbooks and the illustrative materials contained therein, the process of evolution of the understanding of the concept of care for the safety of children will be approximated. The aim of the article is to present changes in the narrative, the way of talking about safety in the life and environment of a child in textbooks addressed to the youngest children. In addition, specific catalogs of threats and dangerous situations will be presented, recognized by the authors of the textbooks as dominant and particularly dangerous for the child in a given period.
