Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin and van Gieson method. Tumor was found growing infiltratively, occupying the frontal lobe and basal ganglia. The frontal foci showed a denser cellular content and more pronounced polymorphism. The ganglial focus contained more astrocytic nuclei and, in places, an entire field of mast cell astrocytes. A characteristic feature of the tumor was extremely numerous mitoses, several per field of view, and numerous small hyperchromatic cells with dark blue nuclei. The tumor contained very numerous necroses, and fields of sinusoidal metastases were also observed in the basal ganglia. The meninges were severely thickened, contained fields of proliferating fibroblasts, and vascularly hyperplastic endothelium.}, type={Text}, title={File of histopathological evaluation of nervous system diseases (1962) - nr 37/62}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl./Content/213839/PDF/37_62.pdf}, keywords={Neoplasms - glioma}, }
