Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin, van-Gieson and Heidenhain method. Edema, disintegration and fragmentation of myelin sheaths, proliferation of fibroblasts and perivascular infiltration were observed in the radix nervi spinalis and ganglia taken from various levels. Within the spinal ganglia, swelling of the radix nervi spinalis, disintegration of myelin, atrophy of ganglion cells, infiltration of mesodermal elements were observed. Radix nervi spinalis lesions in the form of swelling and disintegration of myelin with complete fragmentation of the sheaths reached the medulla in the posterior horns. The edematous changes were more pronounced in the cervical segments of the medulla. The brain and brainstem showed no characteristic changes except for mediocre vascular stasis and edema.}, title={File of histopathological evaluation of nervous system diseases (1962) - nr 14/62}, type={Text}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl./Content/213831/PDF/14_62.pdf}, keywords={Inflammations}, }
