Autopsy examination of 62-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin, van Gieson and PAS method.The right parietal lobe showed a focus of malacia destroying the cortex and white matter. This focus was in the stage of advanced glial-mesodermal organization. In the center of the focus, significant loss of neural tissue and connective tissue network with macrophages were seen. Vessels with symptomatic infiltrates and perivascular necrosis were seen in places. Significant nerve cell loss, chronic ischemic disorder and fatty degeneration of neurons were observed in the cortex. Small foci of subcortical and cortical malacia were also observed, also at the glial-mesodermal organization stage. In the right occipital lobe, an old focus of softening with a centrally located cavity was seen. There was a very large connective tissue reaction in some areas. Very large atherosclerotic lesions were seen in vessels throughout the central nervous system. The largest focus of malacia was located above the olive.}, type={Text}, title={File of histopathological evaluation of nervous system diseases (1966) - nr 96/66}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl./Content/193395/PDF/96_66.pdf}, keywords={Vascular diseases - encephalomacia hemisphaerii dextri}, }
