Macrocyclicpolyketides are produced principally by actinomycetes using modular polyketidesynthases which are giant multienzymes. These enzymes are potentially valuable for the biosynthesis of novel compounds. Engineered, hybrid polyketidesynthases catalyse the formation of simple statin analogues, macrolactone ringanalogues, and biologically active glycosylated compounds.}, title={New, engineered polyketide compounds synthesized by actinomycetes}, type={Text}, URL={http://rcin.org.pl./Content/137686/PDF/POZN271_172910_biotechnologia-2002-no4-kuczek.pdf}, keywords={biotechnology}, }
